At OF/D, we design solutions for our clients that maximize the aesthetic potential and beauty of a space while optimizing how that space is going to be used.

Each client searches for a unique solution catered to their personal style, budget, and specific needs. The challenge and pleasure for us is finding a way to marry the competing impulses between what is necessary and what is desired. Only through extensive dialogue and exploration are we able to translate the client’s vision into an authentic expression of their personal style while blending the familiar with our own distinctive touches. No matter the scope of a project, we obsess over every detail to create beautiful spaces that truly reflect the ways our clients live and work.

OF/D designs ground up homes at the beach and in the country as well as gut renovations throughout New York City. Many of our projects include comprehensive interior design services which serve as inspiration throughout the entire design process.

    Founding Principal

    Oliver Freundlich’s interest in design is fueled by a desire to connect with people and translate lifestyle insights into environments that are functional, beautiful and welcoming. This philosophy materializes through collaboration with his project team, a tight knit and talented group of designers.

    A native New Yorker and graduate of Vassar College, Oliver received a Masters of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture. In 2002, Oliver, along with two classmates from Yale, founded the design/build company MADE where he was responsible for business development and establishing the firm’s market presence for nine years.  Previously, Mr. Freundlich worked at Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and for Michael Haverland Architects.

    Oliver loves a perfectly lit room, clean counter tops and swimming in the ocean.
